DIKHAN: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education D I Khan (BISE D I Khan), announced the results of secondary school certificate (SSC) annual examinations during a ceremony at a private marriage hall in Dera Ismail Khan on Thursday.
An award ceremony for the top position holders was held at a local marriage hall, where City Mayor Umar Amin Khan Gandapur was the chief guest. BISE DI khan Chairman Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ullah, Controller of Examinations Prof. Dr. Qaiser Anwar, Secretary Dr. Qayum Nawaz, Assistant Controller Secrecy Muhammad Tariq Javed, Heads of Educational Institutes, position-holder students and their parents were present on the occasion.
Announcing the results, Prof. Dr. Qaiser Anwar said that a total of 23,845 students appeared in the SSC-II examinations of which 21,525 were declared successful with the pass percentage of 90.27%. In the Science Group, 16,154 out of 17,286 candidates passed with passing percentage of 93.45%, while in the Arts Group, 5,371 out of 6,559 candidates passed with passing percentage of 81.89%.
A total of 25,701 students appeared in the SSC-I examinations of which 20,092 were declared successful with the pass percentage of 78.18%. In the Science Group, 15,502 out of 18,929 candidates passed with passing percentage of 81.9%, whereas in the Arts Group, 4,590 out of 6,772 candidates were successful with passing percentage of 67.78%.
In the science group, Mishal Khan of Dar-e-Arqam School and College stood first by securing 1171 marks out of a total 1,200 while Aila Zainab of Qurtuba Public School bagged second positions by securing 1161 out of 1200 marks and Rustam Wazir of Cadet College Wana obtained third position by securing 1160 marks out of total 1,200.
In the Arts Group, Aila Noor of Government Girls High School Ama Khel, Tank, clinched first position with 1084 marks. Maryam from Government Girls Higher Secondary School Paharpur stood second with 1083 marks, and Romana Gul from the same institution secured third position with 1045 marks.
Addressing the ceremony, City Mayor Umar Amin Khan Gandapur termed the results as encouraging and emphasized continued hard work. “Today’s success is a milestone as the matric certificate plays a vital role in shaping one’s future,” he stated.
Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ullah, Chairman of the Board, shared that digitization efforts are underway. “From next year i.e 2026, on-screen marking will be introduced, and students will be able to pay fees online from anywhere starting next week,” he said.
He also announced that 100 kanals of land have been allocated for the new board complex, which will include a sports complex, youth hostel, and all essential facilities for the future.
