ISLAMABAD: Dr. Malik Abrar Hussain, Central President of the All Pakistan Private Schools and Colleges Association, said that concrete steps need to be taken to bring 35 million out-of-school children to school in Pakistan. A plan of action should be prepared at the government level to prevent anti-education activities in Pakistan.
Yesterday, in an awareness seminar organized in collaboration with Al-Wilayat Organization at Fatima Jinnah Women University, education experts and university students from across the country including Dr. Ali Haider Naqvi, Professor Dr. Shehla participated and discussed the important problems facing the education sector in Pakistan and their solutions along with bringing out-of-school children to school.Dr. Malik Abrar Hussain said that a concrete plan of action needs to be prepared to improve the education system in Pakistan.Unfortunately, the education sector and its associates are considered easy targets in our country. The suicide attack on the Army Public School bus in Khuzdar in recent days has plunged the entire nation into mourning. Such incidents are the worst example of hostility towards education, which we strongly condemn. We wish that there is peace and security in the country, education becomes common in the country, and may ALLAH PAK guide those who obstruct it. He said that 275,000 children are out of school in Pakistan. This number is not found in any other country in the world. We also regret that Pakistan does not have any concrete plan to bring these out-of-school children to school.
