ISLAMABAD: The Central Chairman of Tehrik-e-Jawan Pakistan Kashmir, Muhammad Abdullah Hamid Gul, has emphasized that “Kashmir demands attention, freedom, and Pakistan.” Speaking at a special event, he reiterated that Kashmir has always been part of Pakistan, backed by clear historical references.
He recalled that on July 19, 1947, Ghazi-e-Millat Sardar Ibrahim Khan raised Pakistan’s flag on his house a full month before the creation of Pakistan signaling the will of the Kashmiri people. Until October 26, 1947, before the arrival of Indian troops, Kashmir’s official documents and postal stamps carried Pakistan’s name, with the flag of Pakistan flown proudly.
Abdullah Gul stated that when Jawaharlal Nehru took the Kashmir matter to the United Nations, it was acknowledged as an international dispute, not a bilateral one. However, he lamented that political maneuvering later diluted the global focus on Kashmir.
Highlighting the ongoing struggles faced by Kashmiris, from freedom movements to water rights, he praised their unwavering loyalty and sacrifices for Pakistan. “The spirit of freedom among Kashmiris has never faded,” he said, while saluting the prisoners, martyrs, and families affected by the ongoing conflict.
He urged the people and the state of Pakistan to move beyond verbal support. “Now is the time for decisive action,” he said, invoking the powerful slogan “Takbeer – Allah-o-Akbar.”
