BAJAUR: On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Bajaur, Mr. Shahid Ali, Assistant Commissioner (HQ) Khar, Dr. Sadiq Ali, chaired a meeting with representatives of NGOs, foundations, and welfare organizations, including the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS). The meeting focused on key decisions regarding the organized rehabilitation and provision of facilities to displaced families.
It was decided that displaced families would be accommodated on a priority basis with nearby relatives, in government facilities, and in private schools, while, as a last resort, tents would be set up in the sports stadium. The Dumper Union and Khan Foundation have already initiated free transportation for the affected families.
The district administration, in collaboration with welfare organizations, will continue the provision of food and relief packages, with instructions issued to strengthen mutual coordination. The Deputy District Education Officer, college principals, private school owners, and departmental focal persons were directed to prioritize arrangements for displaced families in designated facilities.
Rescue services, PRCS, District Headquarters Hospital, and Khalozo Hospital, along with all ambulance services, were placed on high alert. In case of any emergency, 10–15 vehicles along with drivers’ details will be provided, and entry passes will be issued for safe transportation.
To ensure better coordination, the AC Khar formed a dedicated WhatsApp group. The district administration assured that every possible facility will be provided to displaced families with the cooperation of all departments, NGOs, and foundations.
