Dera Ismail Khan: Dera Police and CTD, under the leadership of the Regional Police Officer Dera, have launched a joint search and strike operation against terrorists in the CPEC area including Bagi Qamar, Nizami, Abdul Khail. According to the details, Dera Police received information from secret sources that some suspicious persons are present in the CPEC area including Bagi Qamar, Nizami, Abdul Khail areas within the limits of Panyala police station. Taking immediate action on the information, Dera Police and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted a joint search and strike operation under the direct supervision of Regional Police Officer Dera Ismail Khan Syed Ashfaq Anwar and District Police Officer Dera Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada. During the operation, suspicious houses and places in the area were monitored using modern technology, especially drone cameras, where there were reports of the presence of declared suspects and terrorist elements. During the operation, the suspects were detained and shifted to an unknown location for interrogation. On this occasion, RPO Dera said that the aim of such coordinated operations is to clear the CPEC route from anti-social elements and crimes so that the citizens can feel safe. Such operations not only break the network of criminal elements but also increase the public’s trust in the police. Our top priority is to maintain law and order in the entire region at all costs. Earlier, a high-level meeting was held at the Range Office Dera Ismail Khan under the leadership of Regional Police Officer Dera Syed Ashfaq Anwar to ensure peace and stability on the CPEC Motorway. In which DPO Dera Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada, DPO Lucky Nazir Khan, SP Motorway, SP CTD Dera, SP Paharpurpur, SDPOs Paharpur, Panyala and SHOs Circle participated. In the meeting, tough and important decisions were taken regarding the hideouts of Fitna-ul-Khawarij in CPEC and its adjacent areas and taking security measures through mutual cooperation. On this occasion, RPO Dera issued instructions to strengthen coordination, intelligence sharing between the police, CTD and Motorway police of both Dera and Lucky districts and to further increase joint patrols and search and strike operations, saying that Fitna-ul-Khawarij Close ties, mutual cooperation and the use of modern technology should be maintained to eradicate the evil elements of the country so that the challenges faced can be dealt with effectively. On this occasion, he stressed to the participants of the meeting that the security of CPEC and providing safe travel to the public is our top priority, for which no sacrifice will be spared.
