Solidarity Expressed with Flood Victims Across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Directorate General of Special Education(DGSE)
celebrated Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day and “Marka-e-Haq by organizing a walk
and Road show. The event was led by Students With Disabilities (SWD) of Special
Education Institutes of DGSE. The event not only celebrated national pride and resilience
but also served as a strong expression of solidarity with flood-affected communities
across the country.
The Directorate General of Special Education, under the Ministry of Federal Education &
Professional Training (FE & PT), Government of Pakistan is providing education, training,
and rehabilitation services to the children and persons with all disabilities within ICT, with
a mission to empower them as equal citizens of the country.
The Honorable Minister, M/o Federal Education & Professional Training(FE & PT) Dr.
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, has taken the initiative for inclusion and representation of CWDs
into main stream of life.
During the walk, carrying the national flags and chanting slogans of unity, the students
participated enthusiastically in the walk, showcasing their determination, spirit, and
unwavering love for Pakistan and Pakistan Army. The program “Marka-e-Haq” highlighted
themes of sacrifice, courage, and national integrity, reflecting the historical struggle for
independence and its relevance in today’s challenges.
Speaking at the occasion, as per the directions of Worthy Secretary M/o Federal
Education & Professional Training, Mr. Nadeem Mahbub, the Director General, DGSE
Capt. Asif Iqbal Asif emphasized the importance of inclusion, resilience, and collective
responsibility:
He further added that our students with disabilities are symbols of strength and
determination. Today, they stand not only to celebrate freedom but also to remind the
nation of its duty to support those who are suffering due to recent floods.
Participants observed a moment of silence and offered prayers for those who lost their
lives and livelihoods in the devastating floods. Messages of hope and rehabilitation were
shared, urging the nation to extend compassion and assistance to flood victims.
