PESHAWAR: The Hamza Foundation Welfare Thalassemia Center and Blood Services in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, continues to play a vital role in supporting vulnerable thalassemia patients through its comprehensive, free-of-cost healthcare services. Today, the Center reaffirmed its commitment by providing fully screened blood transfusions, essential iron chelation medicines, and nutritious meal facilities to poor and Zakat-entitled patients who rely on these services for their survival.

Thalassemia patients require regular blood transfusions and specialized treatment to manage iron overload, a condition that can become life-threatening without timely intervention. Understanding these critical needs, Hamza Foundation has established a system that ensures safe and compatible blood supplies, along with the provision of costly iron chelation medicines that many low-income families cannot afford.

In addition to medical support, the Center also offers daily lunch meals to patients and their attendants, ensuring they receive proper nourishment during treatment hours. This holistic approach aims not only to treat but also to uplift and care for the underprivileged segments of society who are battling chronic illness.

The management of Hamza Foundation stated that their mission is grounded in compassion, community service, and the belief that every patient deserves equal access to life-saving healthcare, regardless of financial status. Through sustained efforts and community support, the organization continues to expand its services to reach more deserving individuals across the province.

The Foundation has appealed to the public, philanthropists, and donors to come forward and support its humanitarian initiatives so that no thalassemia patient is left untreated due to lack of resources.
