ABBOTTABAD: Abbottabad emerged as the champions of the Abbottabad Table Tennis Championship Season 2, held at Modern Age School, while Hayatabad Sports Complex Table Tennis Academy, Peshawar, secured the runners-up position.
In the women’s final, Janita of Swabi defeated Noor of Abbottabad to claim the championship trophy after an impressive performance.
The closing ceremony was attended by chief guest Abdul Wahid Siraj, who distributed trophies and medals among the winning players.
The championship was organized by the District Abbottabad Table Tennis Association under the supervision of the Provincial Table Tennis Association. Organizers were praised for making excellent arrangements, ensuring another successful edition of the tournament.
Players from Abbottabad, Peshawar, Islamabad, Swabi, Haripur, and Mardan participated in both the men’s and women’s competitions.
Among those present at the closing ceremony were Provincial Table Tennis Association Secretary Ahmad Nawaz Malizai, Hayatabad Sports Complex Table Tennis Academy Coach Muhammad Ibrahim, tournament organizer Zahid Tanoli, District Abbottabad Table Tennis Association Secretary Majid Rafique Mughal, and other sports officials.
