ISLAMABAD: Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, in her message on World Population Day, said the occasion highlights the importance of sustainable development, human welfare, and responsible planning. She stated that empowering women economically is the foundation of strong families and a prosperous society.
She said BISP is providing social protection to millions of deserving families, particularly women, while promoting their financial independence. Senator Rubina Khalid stressed that investment in education, health, and nutrition is essential to transform Pakistan’s growing population into a national asset. She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the welfare of women and vulnerable groups and called for equal opportunities to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, urging renewed commitment to a Pakistan where every citizen has equal access to health, education, and a dignified life.
