ISLAMABAD: Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider met Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid at the BISP Headquarters.
During the meeting, they discussed various BISP programmes, the welfare of deserving families and measures to ensure the effective implementation of social protection initiatives in Punjab. The provision of facilities to deserving women was also discussed.
Senator Rubina Khalid reaffirmed BISP’s commitment to providing assistance to deserving women in a transparent and dignified manner. She said steps were being taken to further improve beneficiary facilitation, transparency and the payment system.
Governor Sardar Saleem Haider appreciated BISP’s role in improving the socio-economic conditions of deserving families and stressed the importance of continued cooperation between the federal and Punjab governments in the social protection sector.
