ISLAMABAD : A reception was hosted in Islamabad by the Embassy of the Czech Republic to mark Czech Statehood Day and Czech Armed Forces Day. The event was attended by ambassadors, defence attachés, diplomats and prominent personalities from Islamabad.
The reception was hosted by Czech Ambassador Ladislav Steinhübel, his wife Mrs Dagmar Steinhübelová, Colonel Stanislav Tesařík and his wife. Renowned social and diplomatic figure Sardar Waqar Shehzad attended the reception on the special invitation of the Czech Ambassador.
On the occasion, Sardar Waqar Shehzad conveyed his heartfelt greetings to the government and people of the Czech Republic on their national day. He also thanked Ambassador Ladislav Steinhübel, Mrs Dagmar Steinhübelová and Colonel Stanislav Tesařík for their warm welcome, special invitation and excellent arrangements.
Sardar Waqar Shehzad expressed hope that the friendly relations, mutual cooperation and people-to-people contacts between Pakistan and the Czech Republic would continue to grow. He also highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
During the reception, the participants exchanged views on bilateral relations between Pakistan and the Czech Republic, matters of mutual interest and prospects for cooperation in different areas.
The event concluded in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, with participants expressing good wishes for the people of both countries and emphasizing the continuation of strong diplomatic ties and mutual cooperation.
