PESHAWAR: The Bank of Khyber (BoK), in collaboration with the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dir, organized a special financial literacy session in Chakdara to promote women’s access to formal banking and financial services.
The session focused on enhancing women’s understanding of financial matters, banking services and the formal financial system. Women entrepreneurs were also briefed on financing facilities available for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and the agriculture sector.
Participants received information about formal banking channels, business financing options and various banking solutions designed to support women entrepreneurs.
According to the Bank of Khyber, the initiative is part of its efforts to promote women’s financial inclusion and economic empowerment under the State Bank of Pakistan’s Banking on Equality (BOE) framework and the WE-Finance Code.
The session also highlighted the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in underserved areas in accessing financial services and business financing.
The Bank of Khyber said it would continue such initiatives to strengthen women’s financial inclusion, support entrepreneurship and increase women’s participation in the formal financial system.
