PESHAWAR: The Cantt Public Education System, under CBP, successfully concluded the academic year of its free evening education initiative for underprivileged children engaged in labour, marking the occasion with its Annual Result Day.
A total of 31 working and underprivileged children enrolled in these classes passed and were promoted to the next grade. These students, many working as car mechanics, hawkers, and sanitation helpers—continue to pursue education alongside their daily livelihoods.
Among them, 19 students were from the PG class and 12 from KG, including 10 girls and 21 boys, reflecting both inclusion and opportunity extended across genders.
The ceremony was graced by Chaudhry Baber Hussain, Chief Executive Officer Cantonment Board Peshawar and Javaria Bano, Additional Chief Executive Officer CBP. On the occasion, they reaffirmed their commitment to expanding such initiatives and vowed to continue working for the progress and education of out-of-school children in the future.
The initiative stands as a powerful reminder: when education is made flexible and inclusive, even the most constrained circumstances can give way to progress.
