KPCTA and Qalb Welfare Foundation Join Hands to Promote Eco-Tourism and Public Awareness

PESHAWAR: A cleanliness campaign was jointly launched in the tourist destinations of Kumrat and Jaz Banda by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) and the Qalb Welfare Foundation.
Before the launching of cleanliness drive, KPCTA Director Admin and Finance Umar Arshad Khan distributed biodegradable bags among the participants of campaign.
The Qalb Welfare Foundation also organised its annual programme titled ‘Kumrat Qalb Conference 2025’ in Kumrat, which was attended by a large number of foundation members, KPCTA officials, blood donation activists, and social media influencers.


Speaking as chief guest at the event, Umar Khan said that the campaign was launched on the instructions of KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to raise awareness among tourists and the general public about maintaining cleanliness at tourist sites.
He said that in addition to preserving the natural beauty of these areas, tourists should also be mindful of keeping them clean.
The objective of the conference was promoting a thalassemia-free Pakistan, encouraging tourism, raising awareness about the importance of tree plantation, addressing issues related to blood donation, highlighting the importance of preserving the beauty of tourist spots, educating public through the cleanliness campaign, and setting future plans and targets.
Tourism Police personnel also participated in the cleanliness drive.
