PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Khan Gandapur held a meeting with Peshawar Press Club President M Riaz, where they discussed matters of mutual interest, the challenges faced by journalists, and the importance of press freedom.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to freedom of the press and assured that all possible measures would be taken to address the problems of the journalist community. He emphasized that the media is the fourth pillar of the state, and its constructive role is vital for the strength of democracy.

Press Club President M Riaz expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and highlighted key issues faced by journalists, including security concerns, low salaries, and the need for better facilities.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with the Chief Minister assuring that the government would take practical steps for the welfare and support of journalists in the province.
