PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, held a detailed telephonic conversation with Ghulam Bilal Javid, President of the Peshawar Traders Chamber and senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, to address the growing concerns of the business community in the provincial capital.
During the conversation, Mr. Javid expressed serious reservations over the ongoing anti-encroachment operations led by the Deputy Commissioner of Peshawar, describing them as excessive, humiliating, and detrimental to the already struggling economic environment.
He emphasized that the trader community is facing immense hardship due to economic instability, political uncertainty, and administrative high-handedness, warning that continued pressure could lead to the collapse of commercial activity in the city.
Chief Minister Gandapur listened attentively and assured Mr. Javid that the provincial government takes these concerns seriously. He pledged to invite Mr. Javid and a representative delegation to the Chief Minister’s House soon for direct dialogue. The goal, he said, would be to craft a sustainable and dignified solution to the traders’ problems while maintaining law and order.
The Chief Minister reiterated his commitment to protecting the rights and dignity of the business community while ensuring fair governance and accountability.
