PESHAWAR: A grand ceremony titled “One Year of the Battle of Truth – Celebration of Victory 2026” was held at Peshawar Cricket Stadium on May 7, 2026, to commemorate the success and sacrifices of the nation’s armed forces.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi attended the event as chief guest. Leader of the Opposition in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Dr. Ibadullah, parliamentarians, Commander 11 Corps Lieutenant General Umar Ahmed Bukhari, senior military officials, political figures, and members of the civil administration also participated in the ceremony.
The event featured colorful performances and patriotic presentations that received great appreciation from the audience. Renowned singers Sahir Ali Bagga and Natasha Baig, along with the Khumariyaan band and local artist Shahid Maling, performed and entertained the participants with patriotic songs and cultural performances.
The Pakistan Army’s drill team presented a spectacular performance, while participants collectively recited the national anthem. The stadium resonated with slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pakistan Army Zindabad,” reflecting the enthusiasm and patriotic spirit of the attendees.
