PESHAWAR : The Executive Council of the Creative Arts Association (Registered), in consultation with its members and with the approval of the Chairman, has announced the appointment and selection of new office-bearers for the association’s Media and Communications Department. In this regard, General Secretary Ahmad Nawaz has issued Notification No. CAA/NOTIF/PESH/184, according to which the newly constituted team will assume its responsibilities immediately.

According to the notification, renowned poet, writer, television and radio anchor, and editor of Daily Paighamat, Hidayatullah Gul, has been appointed Convener of the Media and Communications Department. Abdus Saeed (Bureau Chief, TV Today) has been appointed Deputy Convener; Amjad Hadi Yousafzai (Daily Times, Daily Province Peshawar) Secretary; Shakir Khan (Daily Awaz-e-Shehar, Daily Paighamat Peshawar) Coordinator; Inayat ur Rahman (Daily Siyaq Peshawar) Joint Secretary; Abid Ali Orakzai (Daily Pakistan) Secretary Programs and Events; and Matiullah Ajiz (Urooj TV, Umeed Randa FM Channel) Secretary Research and Planning.

Similarly, Manzoor Khan, Central Finance Secretary of the Creative Arts Association, has been appointed Central Supervisor of the Media and Communications Department.

Chairman of the Creative Arts Association (Registered), Professor Sajjad Ali Orakzai, congratulated the newly appointed office-bearers and expressed the hope that the new team would play a key role in effectively promoting the association’s activities, fine arts, artists and creative professionals, strengthening media relations, conducting research, planning communication strategies, and highlighting the association’s positive image at the national and provincial levels.

He said that the Media and Communications Department would utilize all its capabilities to establish strong links between the association and the media, promote cultural and literary activities, and effectively convey the voice of the creative community to the relevant institutions.

According to the press release, all office-bearers will perform their responsibilities with sincerity, integrity, professional competence and a spirit of mutual cooperation, in accordance with the association’s constitution, rules, regulations and policies.

The formation of the new Media and Communications team has been described as an important step toward making the association’s communication activities more organized and effective. The new team will also work to highlight the activities of people associated with fine arts, culture, literature and the creative sector, while further strengthening coordination between the association and the media.
