Bajaur: The District Administration Bajaur has completed the rehabilitation of a dangerous culvert located at Shandai Morr in Tehsil Khar, providing significant relief to commuters and the general public. The culvert, which had remained in a dilapidated condition for a long time, posed a serious threat to vehicular traffic and pedestrians, raising the risk of accidents. Timely intervention by the administration has now eliminated these hazards.
The rehabilitation work was carried out on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Bajaur, Shahid Ali, under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner (Headquarters) Khar, Dr. Sadiq Ali, with the Highway Department Bajaur playing a key role. According to officials, sewerage and sanitation issues were first addressed by TMA Khar, after which the Highway Department completed the rehabilitation work under the supervision of the XEN and SDO.
Local residents stated that the poor condition of the culvert had frequently caused traffic congestion and posed a constant danger to road users. With the completion of the rehabilitation work, the road has now become fully safe and operational. Citizens appreciated the proactive and timely action of the district administration and expressed hope that similar practical steps would continue to be taken in the future to improve public facilities.
The District Administration Bajaur reiterated that the safety of lives and property, improvement of road infrastructure, and smooth traffic flow remain among its top priorities, and that development and rehabilitation projects will continue without interruption to serve the public.
