Kohat – June 2, 2025:
A law and order meeting was convened under the chairmanship of DIG Kohat Region, Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat, to review security and operational readiness ahead of Eid-ul-Azha. The meeting was attended by the District Police Officers of Kohat, Karak, Hangu, Orakzai, and Kurram, as well as SP CTD Kohat and SP CTD Kurram.

During the session, comprehensive Eid security arrangements were reviewed and finalised, with particular emphasis on ensuring peace and safety during large public gatherings. The DIG directed all districts to ensure effective deployment of personnel at mosques, bazaars, cattle markets, and other key locations, along with well-coordinated traffic management plans to prevent congestion.
Instructions were also issued for an immediate increase in search operations, snap checking, and visible patrolling across sensitive areas. A focused campaign against criminal elements, particularly proclaimed offenders, was stressed. In view of current challenges, the DIG further emphasised the need for enhanced CTD operations in vulnerable zones to prevent any subversive activity.
DIG Abbas Majeed Marwat urged all officers to remain vigilant and proactive, reiterating that the safety of the public and the peaceful observance of Eid-ul-Azha must remain the foremost priority. He also stressed close coordination with district administrations to ensure seamless execution of all arrangements.
