Karachi: District East Police achieved a major success by recovering 217 snatched, stolen, and lost mobile phones worth more than 80 lac rupees through effective use of advanced technology. The recovered mobile phones were handed over to their rightful owners during a ceremony held at the SSP Office, District East. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) East Zubair Nazir Sheikh, along with SDPOs, personally returned the devices to the citizens.

Police officials said the recoveries were made possible by the District East technical and intelligence teams, which conducted coordinated operations in various areas with the help of advanced technical expertise. Officials urged citizens to promptly report incidents of snatching, theft or loss of mobile phones at their respective police stations. They emphasized that timely complaints and public cooperation significantly help police in tracing stolen property and identifying criminal elements.

According to the spokesperson of East Police, In recognition of their outstanding performance, SSP East awarded CC-III appreciation certificates to 13 police officers (DIC and Technical Team) for their dedication and effective use of technology in recovering stolen mobile phones.

Police officials reiterated that District East Police remain committed to maintaining law and order and assured the public that such efforts would continue to enhance safety and public trust across the district.
