DERA ISMAIL KHAN: District Police Officer (DPO) Dera, Ziauddin Ahmed, along with SP City Muhammad Noman and DSP City Malik Abid Iqbal, conducted a detailed inspection of various Thalas, Imambargahs, procession routes, sensitive locations, and other important points to review security arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram.

SHO Cantt Abdul Ghaffar Khan, SHO City Sanan Khan Niazi, and In-charge DSB Muhammad Nisar Khan were also present during the visit.

Police officers briefed the DPO on procession routes, deployment of personnel, traffic management plans, blocking points, search and sweep operations, walk-through gates, CCTV monitoring, emergency response mechanisms, and other security measures.

DPO Ziauddin Ahmed directed officers and personnel deployed along the procession routes to remain alert, maintain strict surveillance of suspicious individuals, ensure thorough checking at entry points, and deal with the public in a courteous manner.

He emphasized that maintaining law and order during Muharram-ul-Haram remains the top priority of the police and that all available resources would be utilized to prevent any untoward incident.

The DPO further instructed officials to ensure foolproof security arrangements, effective traffic management, and the provision of all possible facilities to mourners to help maintain religious harmony and a peaceful environment.

He also urged police officers to remain in close contact with the public and strengthen cooperation with people from all schools of thought to ensure the successful and peaceful observance of Muharram.
