DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Waziristan Peace Festival 2026, themed “Empowered Youth, Bright Future,” will be organized by Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (South) from June 12 to July 10, 2026 across 23 different locations in South Waziristan.
The festival is part of the ongoing efforts of Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (South) to promote sustainable peace, brotherhood, and constructive engagement among the youth of the region.
A series of cricket, football, and volleyball competitions will be held at various venues, featuring teams from different areas of Waziristan. The sporting events are expected to provide exciting competition and attract large numbers of sports enthusiasts.
To highlight the rich cultural heritage of the region, traditional dance performances will also be organized during the festival. These cultural activities will showcase the traditions, values, and vibrant spirit of the people of Waziristan.
Colorful fireworks displays have also been planned to add to the festivities and create a memorable experience for participants and spectators alike.
