Peshawar: Frontier Printers and Publishers Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa organized the “Aljant Jashan Azadi Cricket League” for the first time in history. The first exhibition match was played with great enthusiasm at Mirwais Cricket Academy Shah Alam yesterday. 8 teams participated in this tournament with full enthusiasm. In the final, Aljant Tigers defeated Peshawar Express by two wickets after an exciting competition and won the trophy. The Peshawar Express team scored 47 runs in the allotted overs while batting first, in response to which Aljant Tigers achieved the set target with ease and won the final. The head coach of the winning team, Manzoor Ahmed, announced a total of one lakh rupees to the team for motivating his players and for showing good performance. To which the team players thanked the head coach. The chief guest of the tournament was Alhaji Ijaz MPA, who presented the trophy to the winning team and the runner-up with prizes in the final. Frontier Printers and Publishers Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Zafar Khattak and General Secretary Salim-ur-Rehman Hamdard took personal interest and made the tournament a success. At the end of the match, Association President Zafar Khattak expressed his views and said that independence is a great blessing of which we are proud. This four-day cricket league was organized for the first time to encourage the youth and talented players of the press market, which ended in a grand manner.

All the patrons, members and shopkeepers participated in the match. Similarly, Association General Secretary Salim-ur-Rehman Hamdard said that I am happy that this four-day tournament was played in a very friendly atmosphere. In which Khyber Skin Fighter, Royal Challenge, Insaf Falcon, Aljanat Tiger, Lagan Warrior, Peshawar Express, K-11 participated, he said that Alhamdulillah, we have such players in the press market who can perform well not only locally but also at the provincial level. All arrangements were completed under the supervision of the tournament committee members Mushtaq Ahmed Khalil, Murad Hussain, Tahseenullah, Ibrahim, Ziauddin, Legal Advisor Muhammad Tahir Advocate and Information Secretary Humayun Khan. In which all possible facilities were provided to the players.
