PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi chaired a high-level meeting with a joint delegation of South Air, Italy’s FRI-EL Group and the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry to explore cooperation opportunities in aviation, healthcare, investment, business and other sectors.

The meeting was attended by FRI-EL Group Vice Chairman and CEO Joseph Gostner, SkyAlps CEO Alex Spinato, South Air Pakistan Chairman Kanwar Muhammad Tariq, SOS Group Senior Group Advisor Sohail Ali Khan, South Air CEO Nishat Fatima, Sarhad Chamber Group Leader Ghazanfar Bilour, President Junaid Altaf, the newly elected President of the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and other business leaders.

The participants discussed measures to promote trade and investment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and explored opportunities for joint ventures and partnerships in hospitality, biotechnology and green energy.

South Air management informed the meeting that, on the special interest of Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, plans were underway to introduce an air ambulance service in the region to provide modern emergency medical facilities. The service would help ensure timely transportation of patients and improve access to healthcare during emergencies.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi stressed the need to promote investment and industrial and commercial activities in the province and create new opportunities for the private sector.

He said stronger links with domestic and international business organizations could help further highlight Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s economic potential.
