ISLAMABAD : Mian Gulrukh Ali Shah of Pirpiai has been appointed as a Focal Person for the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), a move widely welcomed by social and political circles as recognition of her services in youth development and women’s empowerment.

Belonging to the respected family of the late Khan Bahadur Shahzad Mir Khan (Parnawasi), Gulrukh Ali Shah has remained actively involved in social welfare initiatives, particularly those promoting education, leadership, skills development, and economic opportunities for women.

Expressing gratitude over her appointment, she thanked the leadership for reposing confidence in her and pledged to work with dedication for the welfare of Pakistan’s youth. She said her priority would be to promote greater participation of women in education, vocational training, entrepreneurship, and other initiatives under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme.

She further said that empowering youth through education, skills, and innovation is vital for Pakistan’s development and vowed to ensure that the programme benefits deserving young people, especially women, across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Local residents, community elders, and political and social leaders congratulated Gulrukh Ali Shah on her appointment and expressed hope that her role would create new opportunities for the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through the PMYP platform.
