TANK: Director of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Shamshad Khan Mehsud, was martyred in a gun attack by unidentified armed assailants in District Tank on Saturday.
According to reports, the incident occurred near Garah Baloch, where armed attackers opened fire on him before fleeing the scene. He sustained critical injuries and was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ), Tank, where he succumbed to his wounds.
Following the incident, police and security personnel launched a search operation in the area to track down the assailants.
