PESHAWAR:Hazara Division claimed the Inter-Divisional Women’s Lacrosse Championship trophy after a series of competitive matches held in the scenic valleys of Salatan and Gabin Jabba, Swat, from July 25 to August 2, 2025.

Mardan Division secured second place, while Dera Ismail Khan finished third. The closing ceremony was graced by Syed Salar Jahan, President of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Lacrosse Association, who distributed trophies, cash prizes, and souvenirs among the top-performing players and teams.

The championship was held alongside a high-performance training camp, featuring 40 women players from 7 divisions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The MVP award went to Miss Fiza, who impressed with 7 goals throughout the tournament. International medalist Miss Momina Tariq and Miss Gul Pari were jointly awarded the Best Coach Award for their exceptional mentoring.

During the camp, the athletes completed 48 kilometers of hiking in the mountainous terrains without security protocols—an impressive feat that demonstrated not only their physical stamina but also promoted the peaceful and resilient image of Swat and KP.

The rigorous training focused on strength, speed, agility, and footwork, preparing the players to compete at higher levels of lacrosse. Miss Muqaddas Tariq served as the head official, and Mr. Taifur Zarin led as head coach, continuing his instrumental role in promoting the sport across Pakistan.

This event stood as a symbol of women empowerment, the growth of lacrosse in Pakistan, and a beacon of positivity and peace for the region.
