Peshawar: Secretary General of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Muhammad Humayun Khan, has stated that the resolution passed by the Balochistan Assembly to rename Islamabad Airport in honor of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto is a historic proposal. He said that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was a beacon of hope for the people of Pakistan.
He praised Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti and members of the Balochistan Assembly for their tireless efforts in advancing this bill through the legislative process. He emphasized that Benazir Bhutto’s legacy will forever be preserved in the history of Pakistan.
This step is a tribute to a leader who dedicated her life to serving Pakistan and its people, and will be remembered in history. The resolution passed by Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti and the members of the Balochistan Assembly to rename Islamabad Airport after Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto is a commendable decision.
The PPP Secretary General said that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was an exceptionally brave and outstanding leader. For the sake of Pakistan, she endured the tyranny of dictatorship in silence and proved to the world that democracy is the best revenge.
Muhammad Humayun Khan further stated that Benazir Bhutto always raised her voice for the rights and welfare of the people. The resolution by the Balochistan Assembly will serve as a tribute to her struggle and sacrifices.
