PESHAWAR: The Directorate of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Regional Sports Office Peshawar and the District Administration jointly organized the “Battle of Truth” and Independence Day celebrations at Qayyum Sports Complex Peshawar. On this occasion, Director General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tashfeen Haider distributed prizes among the players. Director Development Munir Abbas, Regional Sports Officer Kashif Farhan, Administrator Peshawar Sports Complex Yousaf Afridi and other important personalities were present. In the boys’ doubles final in badminton, Haseeb and Qari Omar defeated Zaid and Rehan 3-0 to win the trophy. In the girls’ doubles final, Abeera and Farah defeated Sana and Sonia 3-0, while in the girls’ doubles final, Abeera and Farah defeated Sana and Sonia 3-0.
Badminton female coach Bushra was also present on this occasion. Similarly, in the women’s basketball final, Brothers Club defeated John’s Club 25-17 to win the trophy. Provincial Basketball Association President Din Muhammad Khan, Secretary Rajmir and other personalities were present on this occasion.
