DHAKA: Mr. Kamran T. Rahman, President of the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), received Pakistan High Commissioner Imran Haider at the MCCI Head Office on September 28.
The two sides discussed developing institutional linkages between MCCI and regional chambers of commerce and industry in Pakistan, organizing Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings and reciprocal participation in exhibitions.
They also explored ways to enhance bilateral trade in various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, fresh fruits and vegetables, jute, surgical goods and ceramics.
The MCCI leadership appreciated Pakistan’s significant growth in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector and discussed possible cooperation in this area.
High Commissioner Imran Haider invited the President and members of MCCI to participate in FoodAg 2026, Pakistan’s premier food and agricultural exhibition, scheduled to be held from November 23 to 26, 2026, in Karachi.
