KURRAM: Sports activities marking the “Independence Day–Moraka e Haq” celebrations have officially begun across Upper, Lower, and Central Kurram under the directives of Director General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Deputy Commissioner Ashfaq Khan, and Director Sports Merged Areas.
The opening events on Friday evening featured football, cricket, and volleyball matches at multiple venues. After one of the matches, District Sports Officer Kurram distributed sports kits to participants and praised their outstanding performances.
The events, running from August 8 to 12, aim to engage local youth in healthy activities and foster the spirit of independence. Organisers have called on the public to actively join the celebrations, particularly the sports competitions, to promote unity and solidarity through sports.
