ISLAMABAD: The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF)-Pakistan and China Mobile Pakistan (Zong) will jointly unveil the Indus Dolphin Ambulance at a ceremony on Tuesday, July 14, at the WWF-Pakistan office in Islamabad.
Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Musadik Malik, Minister-Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy Yang Guangyuan, Chairman and CEO of Zong Huo Junli, Chief Regulatory Officer Kamran Ali, and WWF-Pakistan CEO Hammad Naqi Khan are expected to attend the event.
The ambulance, donated by Zong to WWF-Pakistan with the support of the Embassy of China in Pakistan, will strengthen monitoring and rescue operations for the endangered Indus River dolphin. The vehicle will support WWF-Pakistan and the Sindh Wildlife Department in covering more than 200 kilometers of high-risk stretches along the Indus River.
The ceremony will include remarks by distinguished guests, the ribbon-cutting of the ambulance, and a group photograph.
