PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tennis Association will hold a special ceremony today at the Peshawar Sports Complex in honor of Peshawar’s rising tennis star Muhammad Shoaib for winning an ITF International title.

According to Senior Vice President of the Provincial Tennis Association Umar Ayaz Khalil, the ceremony is being organized on the directives of Provincial Tennis Association President DIG Muhammad Saleem Marwat. The event will begin at 4:30 pm, and all preparations have been finalized.

Chairman Provincial Tennis Association Professor Dr. Muhammad Tahir, former Provincial Sports Minister Syed Aqil Shah, Olympic Secretary Zulfiqar Butt, DG Sports Tashfeen Haider, Director Operations Sports Jamshed Baloch, DSOs, and other notable personalities will attend the ceremony.

Muhammad Shoaib will receive a warm welcome at the main gate of the Peshawar Sports Complex, followed by a special reception in his honor. The KP Tennis Association will also announce a special prize for the young champion.

It is noteworthy that after nearly twenty-five years, a Pakistani tennis player has succeeded in winning an ITF title. Recently, Muhammad Shoaib participated in two international tennis tournaments, winning one title while finishing runner-up in the second after a tough final against a Swedish player.

Muhammad Shoaib has achieved this milestone following renowned Pakistani tennis stars Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Aqeel Khan.
