Governor Announces Civil Award Recommendation for Shaheed Maulana Idrees

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has said that the traditional constitution represents unity, discipline and national strength, adding that Pakistan urgently needs national solidarity and cohesion in the current situation.
He expressed these views while addressing the “Traditional Constitution and Stability of Pakistan Conference” held at the Governor House Peshawar, which was attended by scholars, and political and social leaders from across the country.
The Governor said that the stability of Pakistan is closely linked not only to military strength but also to political and economic stability. He warned that hostile forces are attempting to spread hatred and division through social media, which can only be countered through a strong national narrative and positive engagement with the youth.
He emphasized that providing education, employment, and modern technological opportunities to young people is essential for national progress. He said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have rendered great sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, and the country stands firm today due to the sacrifices of its martyrs.

Paying tribute to the martyrs, he said political stability, supremacy of the constitution, and national harmony are key to Pakistan’s development, and national interest must always be prioritized above all differences.
Governor Kundi announced on the occasion that the name of Shaheed Maulana Muhammad Idrees would be recommended for a civil award in recognition of his services.
He also stated that Pakistan has achieved success on both military and diplomatic fronts in recent times, and that Pakistanis are being respected globally.
The conference was also addressed by Pir Abdul Quddus, Khwaja Noor Muhammad Sahoo, Pir Faizan Azam, organizer Osama Ajmal Qasmi, Mufti Owais Butt and other scholars and religious leaders.
