Peshawar: The Department of Tourism, Culture, Archaeology & Museums, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has reported a record influx of tourists at the province’s top destinations during Eid-ul-Fitr.

According to data released by the KP Culture and Tourism Authority, over 262,000 tourists visited Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the three-day Eid holiday. The highest number of visitors flocked to Swat Valley, with more than 186,000 tourists, followed by the Galiyat region, which saw 51,886 visitors.

The DG of Tourism Authority, Usman Mehsud, stated that 76 foreign tourists also visited various KP tourist sites during this period. He added that arrangements for tourists were made under the directives of Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi and Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Tourism Police canceled their leaves during Eid to assist visitors, while the Tourism Helpline 1422 operated 24/7 to provide guidance and support. The DG further praised the local population for their hospitality, which contributed to a positive and memorable experience for the tourists.

The KP Tourism Authority emphasized its commitment to promoting the province as a safe and attractive destination for both domestic and international travelers.
