PESHAWAR : The Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League, Peshawar, has been rendering selfless religious, social, and intellectual services for many years. One of the organization’s distinguishing features is that its chief organizer, Rubina Moeen, regularly collaborates with various religious and social organizations to hold joint events aimed at promoting Islamic values and fostering intellectual awareness. As part of these efforts, a “Syeda Bibi Zainab Conference” was organized recently at Khana Farhang Iran, Peshawar. The event aimed to familiarize contemporary women, especially the younger generation, with the exemplary life, character, patience, steadfastness, and religious contributions of Hazrat Syeda Bibi Zainab, while paying tribute to her enduring legacy.
The conference was chaired by Bushra Farrukh, Chairperson of the Karwan-e-Hawa Literary Forum, while Rukhsana Nadir attended as the chief guest. Women from various walks of life, intellectuals, speakers, poets, and distinguished guests participated in the event. All speakers, scholars, and poets highlighted the greatness, resilience, and unwavering courage of Hazrat Syeda Zainab, as well as the eternal sacrifices of the martyrs of Karbala. They described her as an outstanding role model for the Muslim Ummah, particularly for women.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by a na’at presented by Syeda Zartaj Bukhari, District President of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League, Peshawar.
Sabiha Ishtiaq, Vice President of the Peshawar District chapter, delivered a speech on the life and character of Hazrat Syeda Zainab. She stated that through faith, patience, perseverance, and trust in Allah, a woman of strong character can change the course of history, and Hazrat Zainab remains the finest example of this truth.
Faiza Shehzad, Tabinda Farrukh, and Syeda Zartaj Bukhari presented manqabats and salām, while Bushra Farrukh and Rukhsana Nadir paid tribute to the martyrs of Karbala.
Among those who also expressed their devotion and admiration during the conference were Dr. Seema Shafi, Dr. Roshan Kaleem, Shazia (Executive Member, Minhaj-ul-Quran), Nargis Afroz Zaidi, Dr. Shahida Sardar, Rani Andaleeb, and several other participants. The event was hosted by Naz Parveen and Fatima Afzal.
At the conclusion of the conference, Zahida Noor, Patron-in-Chief, thanked all the participants. Rubina Moeen presented books to the chairperson, the chief guest, and other distinguished attendees. The event concluded with a collective prayer.
