SWAT: On the special instructions of Pakistan Journalists Association Central Chairman Mian Ishtiaq, an important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial President Sohail Bacha at the Provincial Secretariat Barikot Swat. In the meeting, special prayers were offered for the martyrs of Swat River tragedy, while great tribute was paid to heroes Muhammad Hilal, Abdul Salam and others who sacrificed their lives to protect human lives. Addressing the meeting, former Information Secretary and senior bureaucrat Arshad Khan and Provincial President Sohail Bacha said that Muhammad Hilal is an example of pride and bravery of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who along with his brothers not only saved many precious lives in Swat River but also retrieved many bodies. In appreciation of his selfless services, the meeting announced the establishment of a rescue organization in the name of Muhammad Hilal so that his spirit of sacrifice could be given institutional form. As a goodwill gesture, it was also announced to make Muhammad Hilal an associate member of the Pakistan Journalists Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Circle SDPO Shaheen Shah Khan, SHO Ghani Rehman, Bakht Buland Khan Kaka, Amir Zeb Bacha, and a large number of local dignitaries and other social figures were present. During the meeting, membership cards were distributed to new journalists, while certificates were distributed to Muhammad Hilal, Abdul Salam and other volunteers, Hamid Khan, Umra Khan Faziq, Adam Khan, for their excellent performance. The meeting was attended by the office bearers and members of the Pakistan Journalists Association, Deputy General Secretary Dr. Zakir Muhammad. Senior Vice President Asad Khan, Focal Person Salman Yousafzai, Samad Anjum, Lal Sher Khan, Habib Khan, Abdullah Khan, Abrar Khan, Nasir Durrani, Habib Ahmed, Kanjo Township Society President Amjad Kamalzai, Nisar Bacha, Associate Member Mutasar Khan, Syed Azaz Shah Bacha, Legal Advisor Ziauddin Ghufranullah, Sahil Khan, Abdullah Khan Bacha, Hussain Khattak, Qut Khan, Aizazul Haq, Hamza Khan, Kashif Khan and other journalists and dignitaries participated in the meeting. The participants expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of journalist Muzaffar Shah’s mother Majida and prayers and fatiha were offered for her forgiveness.
