PESHAWAR: The Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Science & Information Technology, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz, has said that a modern Citizens Facilitation Center (CFC) has been established in Mardan for the convenience of the public, which will soon be formally inaugurated by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur. This center is a practical example of reshaping public service delivery on modern lines.
Dr. Shafqat Ayaz stated that the Citizens Facilitation Center reflects the vision of providing “all services under one roof.” With the establishment of this center, citizens will no longer need to run from office to office for essential services such as arms licenses, birth and death certificates, domicile, and other related matters. These modern centers are being developed particularly to facilitate the public, ensuring that even people from far-flung areas can access quality services without difficulty.
He further said that those who are educated and capable of using digital applications can avail services online through the “Khyber Pass” option available in the Dastak App, such as applying for arms licenses, birth and death certificates, and domicile. Payments can also be made conveniently via the Pamir App. However, for citizens who are not familiar with using technology or mobile applications, the CFC has been established so that they too can benefit from the same facilities in person.
Dr. Shafqat Ayaz emphasized that this initiative is part of the vision of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan, who was committed to providing direct facilities to the people and establishing a model of “people-friendly governance.” Carrying forward the same vision, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur is taking practical and concrete steps to introduce modern technology for public convenience in the province.
He said that the Citizens Facilitation Center will not only save valuable time of the public but will also play a key role in eliminating the culture of bribery and favoritism. The provision of modern facilities at citizens’ doorsteps, with a system based on transparency and technology, is a remarkable achievement of the PTI government.
Dr. Shafqat Ayaz added that true service lies in providing convenience to the people, and these centers are being established with that very purpose in mind. He further said that this center is a gift for the people of Mardan and that soon this model will be expanded to other districts so that every citizen may receive equal access to essential facilities.
