Islamabad : Pakistan and Algeria will enhance joint efforts at UNSC to bring peace and security in the region in the context of latest developments in the aggression against Iran. This was agreed between DPM/FM Pakistan Senator Ishaq Dar and Algerian counter part Mr. Ahmed Attaf in a bilateral meeting at the sidelines of the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

During this meeting, the two ministers discussed the latest developments in the aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran and emphasized the need to enhance inter-coordination on this matter within the Security Council, with the aim of enabling this UN body to fulfill its responsibilities in the field of maintaining peace and security by devoting a political and peaceful approach based on the principles and purposes of the United Nations.
