ISLAMABAD: Federal Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Ashfaq Ahmed Khalil has said that Maarka-e-Haq serves as a lasting source of guidance for future generations, proving that victory is achieved through courage and determination. He congratulated the nation on the success of Maarka-e-Haq and praised Pakistani media for its balanced and responsible coverage.
Speaking during a special Radio Pakistan podcast on the first anniversary of Maarka-e-Haq, he lauded the armed forces and national leadership for their decisive role and unwavering resolve, stating that Pakistan’s media credibility and narrative strength were notably reinforced during this historic phase.
Ashfaq Ahmed Khalil said that Pakistan’s mainstream media upheld international credibility by delivering verified, evidence-based reporting and effectively responding to opposing narratives.
He added that widespread misinformation spread by Indian media was systematically exposed by Pakistani journalism, helping ensure clarity of facts at the international level.
He also highlighted close coordination between ISPR and the Ministry of Information, stating that a strict verification process was followed before the release of any news to maintain accuracy and trust.
The Federal Secretary warned that fake news is a major challenge in the digital age and urged social media users to act responsibly and cautiously, especially on sensitive and conflict-related issues.
He concluded that Pakistan’s national media has consistently acted as a responsible voice of the country at the global level and will continue to strengthen its image through fact-based narratives.
