PESHAWAR. The forced evacuation policy on the part of Pakistan has badly affected thousands of those who intends to get asylum or protection in any of Western country.

Bilal Sudayee, a disabled Afghan national who was remained a refugee in Mianwali District of Punjab province for around 40 years, evacuated to Afghanistan some seven month back. Bilal now residing with other family members in Kunduz province bordering with Takikistan. However, he along with all other countrymen evacuated from Pakistan ahead with stock of miseries.

Bilal told this scribe that his and family request for protection/asylum through United Nations High Commission for Refugees ( UNHCR) was accepted for Australia in mid of 2025. In this respect, he along with other family members appears in UNHCR and Australian embassy for medical, biometric and other tests. All except a daughter have been cleared when he along with other family members picked up by Punjab police and deported to Afghanistan.

Bilal further said that after his and family forced deportation, he had made his best to contact UNHCR and Australian embassy. Officials from both the organs, suggested to appear in person. He said that unfortunately Pakistan has made its visa procedure for Afghanistan too much tough. He said that officials in Pakistan diplomatic missions in Afghanistan demanding from 2000 to 2500 US dollars for visa. On the other hand, some of the Afghans after their deportation succeeded in return to Pakistan on payment of huge amount in bribe.

Bilal Sudayee who is too vocal and considered most suitable source for Pakistani Media during his over four decades refugee life, said that almost returnees from Pakistan are ahead with worst kind of situation. ” There are no jobs and other economic activities in All over Afghanistan,” he remarked, adding a large number of youngsters are making their best to leave Afghanistan for Pakistan, Iran and other countries including central Asian countries.

The helpless Afghan national has requested the UNHCR, Australian Ambassador in Pakistan, and almost of Pakistani authorities, Pushtoon politians and journalists to help him and his family in return to Pakistan for the disposal of asylum/protection to Aistralia.
