PESHAWAR: Javed Afridi met with Faisal Karim Kundi at the Governor House Peshawar to discuss the promotion of sports and development of cricket infrastructure in the province.
During the meeting, the Governor congratulated Javed Afridi on the success of PSL 11 and termed it a victory for the entire province. He said the achievement would be celebrated at the provincial level in a grand manner.
The meeting focused on various matters related to the promotion of sports in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the development of stadiums, hotels, and modern facilities aimed at supporting international cricket activities in the province.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said that promoting sports is essential for projecting the soft image of the province. He added that the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa possess immense talent in every field and deserve proper patronage and encouragement.
He also appreciated the role of Peshawar Zalmi and Javed Afridi in promoting cricket in Pakistan, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Javed Afridi, on the occasion, praised the contribution of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa towards the promotion of cricket in the country. He appreciated the Governor’s efforts for youth encouragement and strengthening the positive image of the province.
He said the dynamic personality and leadership qualities of the Governor are highly commendable.
The meeting also included discussion on the proposed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cricket League.
