DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Police have successfully traced and resolved the case involving the snatching of a Mazda truck loaded with cattle from traders belonging to Kot Addu within the jurisdiction of Shorkot Police Station.
Acting under the leadership of DSP Sub-Division Hafiz Muhammad Adnan, police launched immediate operations following the incident and arrested four suspects involved in the robbery within just 16 hours. The snatched Mazda truck and all the cattle, valued at several lakh rupees, were recovered and returned to their rightful owners.
According to police sources, the arrested suspects include a proclaimed offender as well as an accused wanted in a murder case. The suspects were attempting to flee after committing the crime but were apprehended during raids conducted at various locations.
It is pertinent to mention that traders from Kot Addu were allegedly robbed at gunpoint near the bypass a day earlier. Following the incident, police swiftly initiated an investigation and launched a crackdown that resulted in the successful recovery of the stolen property and arrest of the accused.
DSP Hafiz Muhammad Adnan stated that strict action against criminal elements will continue and further be intensified to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property. He reaffirmed the police department’s commitment to maintaining law and order and bringing offenders to justice.
