PESHAWAR: Vice Chancellor University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Mardan, Prof. Dr. Gul Muhammad Khan, led a delegation to a meeting with Secretary Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Matiullah Khan, to discuss innovation, digital transformation and sustainable technologies in the province’s information and communication sector.
The meeting focused on strengthening the existing information and communication infrastructure and exploring opportunities to make the province’s information ecosystem more sustainable through modern technologies.
The participants discussed the potential use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for media intelligence, content analysis and multi-channel monitoring to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of public communication.
Modern broadcasting infrastructure was also discussed, with emphasis on expanding public outreach, accessibility and engagement through improved technologies.
The meeting further explored hybrid solar energy solutions to ensure reliable and sustainable operational continuity for essential facilities of the Information and Public Relations Department.
The participants also discussed strengthening university-government partnerships to promote innovation, digital transformation and technology-driven solutions in the public sector.
Deputy Director Procurement and Accounts Barkat Ullah and Deputy Director Admin and Operations Zar Ali Khan of the Information and Public Relations Department also attended the meeting.
The engagement highlighted the potential of AI, engineering expertise, renewable energy and academia-government collaboration in supporting modernization and sustainable development initiatives across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
