PROVINCE REPORT

PESHAWAR: Awami National Party leader Muhammad Saeed Zahir Advocate has called on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to prioritize the promotion of local languages, including Pashto, Hindko, Saraiki, and Khowar, instead of foreign languages and cultures. Supporting the demand of the Ilmi Pashto Jirga, he urged Chief Minister Sohail Afridi to take immediate notice of the issue. He also called for financial support for local artists, reopening of Nishtar Hall, and revival of cultural activities across the province.
