PESHAWAR: The Inter-Academy Badminton Championship, organized by the Directorate General of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has entered its final stage after the completion of semi-final matches in different categories.
Deputy Director Sports Amjad Iqbal and Chief Coach Shafqat Ullah attended the semi-finals as chief guests, while Coach Hayat Ullah supervised the event. They praised the efforts of coaches in developing young players and said such competitions help identify future sporting talent.
In the Under-13 category, Saqib Shah and Huzaifa of the Directorate Academy qualified for the final after winning their respective semi-finals. In the Under-17 category, Abdul Basit and Talha of the Directorate Academy also secured places in the final.
The championship finals will be held shortly, with talented players from different academies competing for the titles.
