RAWALPINDI: Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and President of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Women Wing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Senator Rubina Khalid, visited the election office of PPP’s candidate for Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly constituency LA-43 (Valley-4), Javed Butt, in Rawalpindi.
During the visit, Senator Rubina Khalid met Javed Butt, party office-bearers and workers. The meeting reviewed preparations for the upcoming AJK elections, the election campaign, public outreach and the overall political situation in the constituency.
She urged party workers to remain active and take the PPP’s message of public service, democracy and development to every household.
Rubina Khalid said the PPP represents democratic values and the vision of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, expressing confidence that the people of Azad Kashmir would support politics of public welfare and development.
She described Javed Butt as a capable, sincere and people-friendly candidate, expressing hope that he would secure victory with the support of party workers and the electorate.
Javed Butt thanked Senator Rubina Khalid for her visit and said the guidance of the party leadership and the commitment of workers would further strengthen the election campaign. He pledged to prioritise development projects, public services and the resolution of local issues if elected.
Addressing party workers, Senator Rubina Khalid stressed that unity, discipline and strong public engagement would help the PPP achieve significant success in the Azad Kashmir elections.
