ISLAMABAD: The Rwanda High Commission in Pakistan celebrated Umuganura, Rwanda’s National Harvest Day and Thanksgiving Festival, on August 7, bringing together members of the Rwandan community, government officials, diplomats, business representatives and media professionals.

Umuganura is celebrated annually on the first Friday of August and holds special significance in Rwanda’s cultural heritage. The traditional festival reflects the values of gratitude, unity, hard work and shared prosperity, while providing an opportunity to celebrate the fruits of collective efforts.

The gathering in Islamabad highlighted Rwanda’s rich cultural traditions and provided an opportunity for the Rwandan community and its friends in Pakistan to come together in a spirit of friendship and solidarity.

The celebration also reaffirmed the enduring values that continue to support Rwanda’s sustainable development, national unity and collective progress. Participants appreciated the cultural significance of Umuganura and its message of cooperation, gratitude and shared prosperity.
