ISLAMABAD: Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, paid glowing tribute to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) stalwart Fauzia Wahab on her death anniversary, acknowledging her lifelong commitment to democracy, women’s rights, and the party’s cause.
Senator Rubina Khalid said Fauzia Wahab was a remarkable political worker of the Pakistan People’s Party who served the party with unmatched dedication during challenging times. “She fought bravely against terrorism and upheld the values of democracy with courage,” Rubina Khalid stated. She highlighted Fauzia’s tenure as the central spokesperson of the PPP, where she fulfilled her responsibilities with excellence and grace, especially during the party’s testing periods.
“Fauzia Wahab always raised her voice for the rights of the people, particularly for the empowerment of women in Pakistan,” the BISP Chairperson noted.
Rubina Khalid said the sacrifices made by Fauzia Wahab for the country and the party would always be remembered with respect and admiration. She concluded with prayers for the elevation of Fauzia Wahab’s soul and expressed deep respect for her legacy.
